2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR SPRING SEMESTER ENROLMENT ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Parent / Student,
Payments for the Spring semester for the 2023-2024 Academic Year will begin on Tuesday, January 9 and end on Friday, January 26, 2024 (including Friday). In order to register for the semester, the payment process must be completed as follows.

Important Information

From 2018-2019 period, payments are expected to be made according to the following rules

• Students who are in the first 7 semesters are required to pay the full semester fee in order to choose courses.
• Students in their 8th semester will be able to pay and take courses according to the credit load they want to take if department has less credit than the semester credit load. (Students who are in the 8th semester who have more credit than their department’s credit load will pay the full-term fee as stated in the first article.)
• Students who are in the 9th and post periods will be able to pay and take courses according to the credit load they wish to take regardless of the remaining credit load.
• The periods mentioned above will be considered from the end of the English Preparatory School (ELC) period.
• Students transitioning to the 8th semester of their careers in all faculties other than the Faculty of Medicine are required to pay the full semester tuition fee as long as their Fall ’23 semester course grades have not been determined. Following the announcements of the grades, if the student’s status turns into a student who can make the payment according to the number of courses they wish to take (course-based), a refund can be requested for the overpayment as of February 21, 2024 via the following link Finance Trackit – Jira Service Management (atlassian.net).

According to the Article 46 (g) of the Higher Education Law dated 25.11.1981 and numbered 2547, which was amended by Law number 6111. Based on this, according to the decision of the University Executive Board dated 8 June 2012 and numbered 2012/9, students who are have debts from previous periods will not be able to take courses and will be dismissed from the courses assigned. Those who do not pay the new semester tuition fee will not be registered.

Late Fee

Those who do not pay until January 26, 2024, will be charged a late fee. The late fee will not affect the scholarship status or the discount amount.

Payment Options:

There are two payment plans: lump sum or in installments. Payments in installments are made only through Yapı ve Kredi Bank. The table showing the bank information for which payments can be made as a lump sum and the table for 2023-2024 Spring semester tuition fees (according to the scholarship rate and undergraduate programs) are presented below.

1. Lump Sum Payment Option:

It is not possible to pay the tuition fees by bank transfer. Instead, payments can only be made through the systems of contracted banks details for banks and payment channels are given below.

We request our students to make their tuition payments in accordance with these procedures in order to make course selections.
The fees of all undergraduate departments at Koç University are the same except for the School of Medicine.

* Except for scholarships and discounts, these are TL figures including 10% VAT. YKS scholarship fees will be calculated over your scholarship rates.

Turkish Citizenship students who will make the payment in TL need to present the official document showing the Turkish Citizenship. Besides, students who present his/her Blue Card received from Ministry of Interior are also allowed to make the payment in TL accoridng to the above table

1.2 Option for Payment by Installments:

PAYMENTS BY INSTALLMENTS CAN BE MADE ONLY THROUGH THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS. THE INSTALLMENTS CAN BE MADE ONLY TURKISH LIRA.

Financial institutions offering payment by installments:

Yapı ve Kredi Bankası: You can learn your application results in a few minutes by applying through Yapı ve Kredi quick application channels (branches, Installment Education System page at www.yapikredi.com.tr and SMS with the” KOCUNIEGT” school code). To complete the registration process, the instruction entry for installments must be performed after the application is approved.
